Stream-cutting machines; extrusion machines. -In dough-cutting machines comprising feed rollers associated with a travelling web and cutters operated intermittingly by an eccentric &c., the feed rollers are driven intermittingly and simultaneously with the web. As shown, dough is formed into a thin strip by a pair of rollers at the bottom of a hopper 2 and is delivered on to a band 5 which carries the strip beneath a knife 30 to sever it into sheets suitable for wrapping around other dough as described in Specification 242,843, [Class 28 (i), Bread-making &c.]. Intermittent movement is imparted to the rollers and to the band 5 from a shaft 35 through an eccentric sleeve 34, rod 9, and duplicate levers 39, on a shaft 10, connected by links 20 to pairs of levers 23 carrying pawls 21 engaging ratchets on a shaft 15 which carries a drum 27 supporting the band 5, and which drives the shaping-rollers through gearing 19. The knife 30 is carried by a frame 31 pivoted at 32 and oscillated by a rod 33 connected to the sleeve 34. The links 20 are connected blocks 24 adjustable upon the levers 23 by a handwheel 26. The knife 30 may be replaced by a pair of knives adapted to sever the dough both transversely and longitudinally; also the shaping-rollers may be arranged to form a pair of strips. One of the shaping-rollers is carried in bearings adjustable by a screwed pin 7 and handwheel 8 to regulate the thickness of the strip.
