Thermionic generators; thermionic modulating systems.-A constant load on the supply source of a generating-valve is obtained by the provision of an auxiliary source of potential adapted to render the valve conductive during the periods when it is not oscillating. The Figure shows a valve 1 having tuned grid and anode circuits 2, 3 and a potentiometer 8 for adjusting the gridbias potential. Keying is effected by shortcircuiting one or more turns of an inductance coil coupled to the grid circuit.
