Direct air - pressure apparatus; valves for pressure fluid, actuation and arrangement of.-An air control valve for double-chambered sewage &c. ejectors comprises a lift valve p provided with a stem o carrying a piston q sliding in a cylinder i. During the filling of one ejector the valve is held to its seat by air pressure admitted to the cylinder by a pipe k connected to the air supply pipe l of the other ejector When the first ejector is full and the second ejector empty, the pressure on the piston is relieved, and the compressed air in the pipe l lifts the valve, p and enters the first ejector to discharge it. The stem # of the valve has an enlarged conical portion # fitted with a packing washer s, which engages the conical end of the chamber r' and prevents leakage.
