Abstract

284,968. Junghans, O. Nov. 16, 1926. Projectile fuzes.- Relates to clockwork fuzes driven by centrifugal force and provided with one or more auxiliary clockwork devices for releasing safety devices, as described in Specification 285,553. According to the invention, the balance 22 of the main clockwork, or its fly or pallet, is locked by a pin 28 on a lever 26, which is held in locking position by a spring 27, but deflects the spring under the action of centrifugal force and releases, the clockwork, at the same time imparting an impulse to the balance to start its oscillation. The balance 22 is attached to a blade spring 24, the length of which is adjusted by blocks 23 set by screws 25.
