Abstract

283,354. Kamishima, Y. Feb. 9, 1927. Alloys.-An iron-nickel-chromium alloy contains 1-5 per cent. of nickel, 7-20 per cent. of chromium, and 1-6 per cent. of silicon, and is free from manganese and as low as possible in carbon. The alloy may be made by melting in an electric furnace chromium or ferro-chromium, nickel, ferro-silioon, and iron, using a flux of calcium, fluoride, sodium, bicarbonate, and glass.
