Abstract

217,465. Katsumori, K. Aug. 13, 1923. Alloys.-Porous copper and aluminium electrodes for galvanic batteries are made by heating alloys containing these metals and removing the eutectics by centrifugal force. For obtaining porous copper an alloy of 80 per cent of copper, 19 per cent of bismuth, and 1 per cent of cadmium may be used, and for aluminium an alloy of 90 per cent of aluminium, 9.8 per cent of magnesium, and 0.2 per cent of calcium or a compound of calcium such as burnt lime.
