Abstract

Magnesium alloys containing respectively (i) 1 per cent of zinc, 6 per cent of aluminium, and 0,5 per cent of manganese, and (ii) 2 per cent of manganese and 0,3 per cent of silicon are treated electrolytically for the formation of fluoride layers thereon.
