Vaporizers, external.-Mixture from the carburettor is supplied to the engine through an apparatus a comprising (1), a rotary mixer k which flings out unvaporized particles of fuel through perforations q into a chamber p surrounded by an exhaust jacket e. this fuel when vaporized returning to the mixture stream, (2) a series of conduits n of flattened cross-section heated by exhaust gases from the chamber e which pass around the conduits to an outlet chamber f, (3) a ring o provided with a series of hollow tongues through which secondary air is admitted from a valve-controlled conduit r, and (4), a rotary mixer l. The mixers k, l, are mounted on a common spindle f and are rotated by suction.
