Abstract
281,446. Dicker, S. G. S., (Naamlooze, Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilampenfabrieken.) Oct. 23, 1926. Vacuum tubes. - A full-wave rectifying valve designed for pressures of 100 to 500 volts comprises an incandescent cathode, anodes consisting at least superficially of carbon, and a filling of argon or rare gas at a pressure from 0.5 to 5 mm, of mercury. The arrangement shown of the oxide cathode 5 and the anodes 8, 9 is intended to prevent bombardment of the anode supporting wires 6, 7 by positive ions, and the wires may be coated with glass to prevent their disintegration.
