Abstract
279,474. Anode Rubber Co., Ltd. April 15, 1926, [Convention date]. Divided on 269,504. Latex, heating.-In the electrodeposition of rubber &c. from dispersions, water soluble substances are incorporated with porous moulds which augment the cohesion of the rubber particles. Calcium compounds or mixtures of calcium and magnesium compounds may be used. The addition of ammonia, or ammonium salts assists solution, and renders the solution alkaline. Carbonates produced in moulds thus treated are removed by treatment with an acid to render the moulds fit for subsequent use. Specification 223,189 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3 (a) describes also the use of substances which yield under the conditions H ions or polyvalent cations such as compounds of barium, magnesium, zinc, iron, aluminium, or absorptive organic bases, or capillaractive material as esters or urethans. Also the ion-producing substance need not be dissolved in the electrolyte impregnating the moulds. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
