Abstract

277,348. Beck, H. Sept. 10, 1926. [Convention date]. Guarding against unauthorized use of vehicles. -A bolt for projection across the plane of a wheel of a cycle or motor cycle is housed in brackets 1, 16, which overlap as shown their complementary members 10, 10<1>, thus preventing access to the retaining bolts 11, 11<1>. The, bolt 7 is held in locked position by balls 5 which enter grooves 6 from which they may escape by suitable adjustment of rings 8. Access to the heads of the bolts 11, 11<1>, is prevented by the bolt 7 when in locked position. The bolt 7 may screw into the bracket 16, in which case the grooves 6 are longitudinal. In a modified construction the right-hand end of the bolt 7 is pivoted to the bracket 1.
