Abstract

179,627. Rome, J. M. Feb. 7, 1921. Guarding against unauthorized use. -The bonnets of motor vehicles are provided with a spring - controlled pivoted catch e adapted, when the bonnet is closed, to engage automaticallv a bar or hasp f attached to the chassis. The bonnet is released by rotating the barrel o of the lock b by means of a key whereby the screw-threaded spindle p is moved axially to engage and release the catch e.
