Abstract

275,804. Wal-Car Equipments, Ltd., and Walford, R. S. Sept. 8, 1926. Wind-screens.-In a wind-screen for the rear seats of a motor-vehicle of the kind comprising two panels normally arranged to form a V, the outer edge of each panel 2, 2 is mounted upon the free edge of a door 6 so that the panel is swung forwardly by the opening of the door. while the inner edge of each panel is supported by a jointed arm 8, 9 pivoted to the back of a front seat 11, the arrangement allowing the front seats to be adjusted without disturbing the setting of the screen. The jointed arm preferably comprises a longer link 9 pivoted to a bracket 10 and shorter link 8 having a socket to receive a peg 4 depending from the panel, the peg being releasable from this socket and en. gage able with a second socket 12 on the door when the panel is to be used as a side screen. The panels may also be released from engagement with the door and folded flat against the back of the front seats and held by spring studs 13 on the seats engaging holes 14 on the links 8.
