253,420. Humber, Ltd., Oliver, C. S., and Buckingham, F. J. Nov. 18, 1925. Wind-screens.-A rear wind-screen for vehicles is adapted for adjustment towards or away from the occupants by mounting it at each side upon a lazy-tongs linkwork 4 - - 7 which at its upper level is pivoted at 8 directly to the back of the front seat or similar support 3, and at its lower level is connected to the support by a relatively short link 9 adapted, when the linkwork is extended, to engage a stop 12 on the support and so form a self-acting lock for the linkwork. The screen 2 is also adjustable in inclination by mounting it on pivots 13 on the rear extensions of the links 6 and by providing locking-screws 15 each adapted selectively to engage one of a series of recesses on the face of a hub or disc associated with the screen standard. When folded to an horizontal position the screen may serve as a table. Cross braces may be employed to give lateral rigidity to the linkworks.
