488,461. Adjustable seats. BLACK, W. R., and PARK ROYAL COACHWORKS, Ltd. Oct. 15, 1937, No. 28118. [Class 52 (ii)] In a reclining seat, the angular position of the back of which is adjustable, the back 2 comprised of a tubular U-shaped frame is pivoted at 3 to the seat side frames 1. A forwardly-extending rack arm 5 is pivoted to the back at 4 on each side and the teeth 6 formed on its lower side co-operate with a tooth 7 secured to the top rail of each side frame. Each rack arm has a longitudinal slot 8 into which extends a pin 9 secured to an armrest 10 pivotally connected at 11 to and normally resting on the top rail of the side frame.
