Abstract

298,357. Butcher, A. F., (Leyse Aluminum Co.). Sept. 28, 1927. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Anti-dazzle screens; look-out reflectors. - A combined vehicle anti-dazzle screen and look-out reflector comprises one sheet of glass which is incompletely silvered or otherwise thinly coated on the rear surface and a second or protecting sheet of the same kind or of clear glass, the two sheets being mounted back to back in a frame adjustably supported on the vehicle so that in one position the device serves as an anti-dazzle screen and in an alternative position as a look-out reflector. In the construction shown an incompletely silvered disc 1 of glass backed by a planedisc of glass 2 is carried in a channel-sectioned frame 3 having limbs 4 which are adapted to be tightened by a screw 5 into gripping engagement with the ball 7 of a bracket 8 mounted on thevehicle windscreen.
