Abstract

338,035. Petersen, L. V. Dec. 16, 1929. Lighting, systems of; vehicle lamps.-In a system of lighting for road vehicles a double lamp 1 is mounted on the near side of the vehicle behind the driver and comprises an under lamp 4 adapted to project a beam of light 3 to illuminate the edge of the road directly in front of the vehicle, and an upper lamp 5 adapted to project a longer beam over the front mudguard. The lamps 4, 5 mav be adjustably mounted within an outer casing 6, and the latter may be fitted with a reversing lamp 7 and be mounted on the rear mudguard 2, the body panel, or the hood stays of the vehicle.
