Pistons; packing. - In piston packing of the type in which a split packing-ring 2 is pressed against the side of its groove by a split ring 4 of wave form the ring 4 makes contact with the cylinder wall at its outer periphery. The ring 4 may be arranged between two packing- rings, or several packing-rings and wave rings may be arranged in one groove. Oil may be drained by passages 8 at the bottom or side of the packing-ring groove.
