262,716. Baradat, C., and Anglada, F. E. Dec. 9, 1925, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Piston packing.-Split packing- rings 7, 9 are pressed axially by split rings 8, 10 engaging conical surfaces, either on the packing- rings, or on the walls of the packing-ring grooves. In the latter case the packing-ring groove may be undercut, in which case the ring 8 is outwardly expanding, or the wall of the groove may be outwardly bevelled, the ring 10 being a contracting ring.
