Abstract

273,002. Marks, E. C. R., (Max Ams Chemical Engineering Corporation). March 25, 1926. Movable - abutment type; adjusting parts for wear.-In order to take up wear the gears of an internally intermeshing gear pump are adapted to be pressed into engagement. This is done by slotting the bolt holes 16 of the crescent shaped filling members 13, 14 to permit adjustment thereof whereby the inner gear 10 which has a slight diametral play on the shaft 11 is pressed against the internally toothed gear 9. The gear 9 is loosely mounted in a circular opening in a plate member 5 which with two side plate members containing the inlet and outlet passages forms the pump casing.
