271,429. Krenski, R. von. May 18, 1926, [Convention date]. Friction gearing for driving lighting-dynamos from train axles. Wheels c, d on the axle and dynamo shaft, respectively, are interconnected by an intermediate wheel a with a radially and tangentially flexible rim supported on a hollow hub which is itself carried on rollers b or a ball bearing ring, no axle for the wheel a being provided. The wheel a may have a flexible internal gearing surface supported within an outer rim which is externally supported on rollers &c. The flexible wheel rim may be built up of inelastic segments separated by elastic bars, the whole pivotally suspended by connecting-members on the rigid hub or rim. The wheel c may be similarly constructed.
