270,228. Clark Tructractor Co., (Assignees of Stockfleth, B., and Burger, F. W.). April 29, 1926, [Convention date]. Heating charge.-Means for heating the air supplied to a carburettor comprise a fitting 37 which has an opening 42 adapted to be clamped against the face 43 of the end of the exhaust manifold by bolts 19<1> which clamp both the fitting and the manifold to the cylinder block. The air is drawn by engine suction through a cleaner attached to the top of the fitting 37, past a deflector 44, and through a horizontal pipe 36 leading to the carburettor.
