Abstract

Driving-arrangements for screw propellers.-An exhaust steam turbine 2 is added to a reciprocating engine plant and is coupled therewith through gearing which may include a fluid coupling. A pre-condenser 5 is inserted in front of the condenser 3 and an ejector pump is added to the air pump 7 to improve the vacuum. The reciprocating engine is arranged to exhaust at a higher pressure.
