Motor power plant.-An exhaust steam turbine operating through toothed-gearing and an elastic coupling is added to a steam engine installation and an auxiliary condenser is added to the existing condenser. The exhaust turbine, the auxiliary condenser, the toothed gearing, the coupling and the thrust block may be built so as to form one unit. The connection between the two condensers is such that the auxiliary condenser can be cut in and out. The auxiliary condenser may have separate cooling-water pumps and separate air pump.
