Abstract
177,491. Akt.-Ges. der Maschinenfabriken Escher, Wyss, et Cie. March 24, 1921, [Convention date]. Casings; nozzles. - A nozzle ring 3 disposed within a turbine casing 1 is cast integrally with the casing. The nozzle ring 3 is surrounded by the steam contained in the turbine casing. The casing and nozzle ring may be divided as illustrated, jointing-rings being inserted at the junction. The nozzle ring may be arranged in segments each with an inlet branch. An additional nozzle ring similarly arranged, 'may be provided at an intermediate stage of the turbine to which live steam is supplied for the purpose of giving a larger output.
