Abstract

267,857. Young, G. L. Dec. 6, 1926. Liquid-fuel furnaces.- In a liquid-fuel furnace front comprising two inwardly directed conical plates arranged coaxially to form between them a conical air passage leading to the furnace, the outer cover plate 2 is mounted on pins 5 and is axially adjustable to vary the admission of atmospheric air around its periphery. The inner plate 1 is provided with an annular recess 6 communicating with the air space 3 and with a compressed air chamber 8 through apertures 7 controlled by a shutter ring 9.
