Cables, arrangement and disposition of parts of. - Cab-tyre sheathed cables in which a reinforcement is embedded have the reinforcement composed of a circular series of reinforcing threads d guided on to the sheathing c by means of a multiple die so that each of the threads d extends longitudinally along the cable and parallel to its axis. The reinforcement may have whippings of thread e - and is covered with a further sheathing f, outside of which may be another series of reinforcing threads g and a further sheathing j. In a modification Fig. '5, the threads d are laid in grooves in the sheathing c and the sheathing f is also grooved so that the two sheathings c, f are in contact between the threads d.
