Abstract

Tell-tale and other devices external to lantern for transmitting light to definite points; adjustable supports; mounting reflectors on lamp casings.-Light from a cycle lamp is reflected in the rearward direction by means of an adjustable mirror 12, Fig. 4, mounted in a casing 7 carried by an arm or the like from the handle bar of the cycle. In one form, the casing 7, Fig. 1, is clamped to the outer bent end 8 of a telescopic rod 5 hinged to a clip 4 mounted on the handle bar 3. The casing has a ruby glass or lens 10, Fig. 4, at its rear end and an opening 15 at its side, through which light passes from a side window in the headlight to the mirror 12 which is clamped in position by means of lock-nuts and a washer on its spindle 11. The mirror may be hinged to the front of the casing.
