Abstract

201,089. Wootton, G. A. H. Nov. 23, 1922. Mounting reflectors on lantern casings.- In police lanterns &c. the reflector 8 is attached to a tube 18 slidable on a fixed tube 6 and prevented from rotating by a pin engaging an axial slot 17 in the tube 6. A tube 16 carrying the lens 9 is rotatable on the reflector tube, and is prevented from moving axially by a catch-lever 23<1> engaging a groove in it. A pin 19 on the reflector tube engages a spiral slot 20 in the lens tube, so that by rotating the latter the reflector can be adjusted with respect to the lens.
