Abstract

Mounting electric lamps in lanterns.-In a vehicle or like lamp, an electric lamp bulb has pins adapted to project through one or m o r e corresponding axial slots 8 in a bulb holder 2 fixed to the rear of the lamp casing 1 and provided with long-movement contact pins. The pins on the bulbs also project through one or more corresponding diagonal slots 7 in a surrounding cylindrical portion 6 at the rear of a rotatable reflector 5. By this means the bulb is locked in position by the slots and by rotating the reflector the bulb is moved axially for focusing purposes. The cylindrical portion 6 may be U-shaped in section, the inner ring being provided with the slots 7. The outer end 4 of the reflector 5 may be bent over so as to rotate upon a seating formed by an annular rim 3 on the front of the casing 1.
