Abstract

121,535. Lucas, H., and Egginton, W. H. Jan. 18, 1918. Lens-holders special to lanterns.-A holder for the lantern front is provided with pivoted spring- catches l of the bayonet-fastening type adapted to engage with the inturned ends of catch-pieces e projecting in an axial direction from the parabolic or like lamp body and passing through slots in a flanged part b of the reflector. The flanged part b is adapted to fit against or over the front edge of the lamp body d, and a shoulder on the reflector is adapted to bear against the lantern front. A circumferential groove f is formed in the lamp body behind the edge of the flange to prevent the access of moisture. A rubber ring is held by means of tongue-pieces between the glass and its holder, and an outer ring i fits over the front of the lantern body.
