Abstract

138,147. Edman, G. A. Jan. 8,1919. Lantern doors and door fittings. - Means for securing the ring C of the lantern front 1 to the body A of an electric-lamp lantern for motorvehicles &c. comprises an outwardly projecting tongue 3 on the ring C engaging a slotted part 5 on the inside of the body A, and a spring catch 6 on the body engaging a projection 8 or the like at the inner side of the ring and diametrally opposite the tongue, the catch being disengaged from the projection 8 &c. by means of a presser-piece 15. The reflector is held against a shoulder 11 in the lantern body A by means of the ring C. The projection 3 is situated in a recess in the periphery of the ring C, and the spring catch 6 has preferably a pin 7 inclined as shown. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 112,055.
