Electric-lamp casings; lanterns, glazing.-An electric lamp for motor vehicles comprises a casing e, and a reflector a having a glass b in front and a threaded ring a" at the rear for the attachment of a plug f, which carries the lamp bulb l and bears against a rim e<1> on the casing. On screwing-in the plug f, the reflector is pressed against the front of the casing. The opening in the rear of the reflector is closed by a movable back g, which is mounted in the plug f and is pressed forward by a spring h. The lamp l is carried by a hollow threaded rod m, which encloses the leads, and is adjusted by means of a nut n held against the plug f by a spring o. To prevent the reflector from falling out on unscrewing the lamp plug, a flange r is provided on the inside of the casing e, and a flange s on the reflector which can only pass through the flange r when the reflector is accurately centred. The glass b is held by a ring d of mushroom section, the body of which is threaded, and the inner edge of which presses the glass against a rubber washer c. To avoid external projections, the casing is provided with internal sockets q for attachment to a support. The reflector is prevented from turning by a pin t passing through a flange u.
