Abstract

1,037,366. Adjustable lamps. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS Inc. March 26, 1965 [March 27, 1964], No. 13046/65. Heading F4R. [Also in Division H2] A photographic lamp comprises a reflector 7 having an aperture formed at its apex, a lamp socket disposed behind the reflector, and a lamp bulb 15 mounted in the socket so as to project through the aperture, the socket being movable relative to the reflector to vary the light emitted by the lamp between flood and spot illumination. The insulated socket is held by a metal cover 57 slidable in a cylindrical metal sleeve 11 secured to the reflector, and is biased towards the rear of the sleeve by a spring 29. A cam button 59 on the cover 57 is engaged by a cam leaf 65 bent up from a lamp-operating arm 17 pivoted to the sleeve 11 at 23. Angular movement of the arm moves the lamp bulb axially against the action of the spring 29.
