Abstract

206,049. Fenton, W. Sept. 19, 1922. Vehicle lamps; lantern shutters.-A lamp for projecting a concentrated beam of light is mounted so that its axis is inclined, preferably at an angle of 20‹, to its front face and is provided with a series of horizontal reflectors or mirrors, or a combination of horizontal and vertical or oblique reflectors or mirrors, of the kind described in Specification 201,956. The casing 1 of the lamp is arranged so that its front face is inclined to the vertical and is provided at its front with a V-shaped ring 2 carrying reflectors or mirrors 3, 4 of the kind described. To mount the lamp adjustably at any desired angle a tubular standard 5, Fig. 4, fits telescopically on the usual lamp standard 6 and is provided adjacent its upper end with brackets 8. Pivotally mounted on the end of the standard 5 is a bar 9 provided at its lower end with a cross-bar 10 fitted with screws 11 which impinge on the brackets 8. The bars 9 fit the usual brackets on the lamp casing.
