Mounting electric lamps in lanterns; lamps forming a line of light.-A light projector consists of a combination of a cylindrical reflector, or one or more cylindrical trough-shaped reflectors, and one or more concentrated sources of light which are arranged to be adjustable between a focal point or points and the reflecting surface or surfaces. Two or more of the trough-shaped reflectors may be combined in various arrangements to form composite, L-shaped, or other beams. One or more subsidiary reflectors may be arranged at the ends or along the surface of the trough-shaped reflectors to concentrate the light in certain directions. Several arrangements are described. In one arrangement, the light source, an electric-bulb C, Fig. 17, is supported by a tube E from a cross-bar F in a weathershield B attached to the reflector A. In another arrangement, the lamp-supporting tube E, Fig. 18, is adjustably held by a screw F in a hole in a frame A which also supports the reflector B. In another arrangement, the lamp-supporting tube H, Fig. 19, is adjustably held by a clamp and screw J to a bracket K fixed by screws or rivets to a weather shield D which also supports the reflector A.
