Abstract

396,451. Vehicle lamps. TAYLOR, R. H., 23, Bury New Road, Sedgley Park, Prestwich, Lancashire. Feb. 10, 1932, No. 3904. [Class 75 (iv).] In an arrangement for reflecting a beam of light from a front lamp to the rear of a bicycle or other vehicle, in which a reflector A is attached to the rim of the lamp B to reflect light laterally on to a second reflector C which reflects it rearwardly through a transparent ruby disc or lens E, the reflector C is adjustably mounted on its supporting bracket D and the lens E is also carried bv the same bracket and is preferably adjustable with the reflector C. For this purpose the part d of the bracket may be made pliable and the bracket pivotally mounted on the flattened end f of a rod F which is rotatably and slidably mounted in a clip F<1> secured to the handle bar H. The frame of the reflector A may be formed integrally with or permanently secured to the lamp B, or it may be adjustably mounted by means of a bendable clip a adapted to be secured between the front b and the body of the lamp. The invention is applicable to electric, oil, or gas lamps.
