Abstract

264,435. Thompson, R. Nov. 11, 1926. Tell-tale and other devices external to lantern for transmitting light to definite points; cycle lamps.-Light is conveyed from the transparent back plate f of the cycle headlight through a preferably telescopic tube a provided at the front end with a lens c and at its rear end with a conical coloured screen d to act as a rear-light. The tube a is secured to the cycle frame by spring clips h, Fig. 4, and, when bent, is provided at the ends with reflectors and prisms. When an acetylene lamp is employed, a lighttransmitting tube extends across the water chamber, and the controlling-rod of the water valve is cranked for passing round this tube.
