Abstract
264,203. Schick, J. Sept. 14, 1925. Cases combined with safety razors; contents, delivering; fittings, internal.- The handle of a safety razor is provided with a recess adapted to receive a stack of blades, resilient means being provided for feeding the blades into position to be engaged by a device which places the top blade in operative position in the guard. In one form the blades 18, which are contained within a holder 41 held in the recess 21 by a stem 24 which screws into the end of the handle 10, are ejected from a slot 36 in the handle into a slot 17 in the guard by a trigger 29 secured to a sleeve 28 which can be moved axially of the handle. In this form the guard 16 is pivoted upon a post 12 carried by the handle so that it can be swung either into operative position, as shown in Fig. 4, or into a position in which the slots 17, 36 are in alignment. Alternatively the blades 18 may be held in a recess immediately beneath the top plate 54, Fig. 10, of the guard and are placed into shaving position by sliding the plate 54 which has a shoulder on its under surface which engages the rear edge of the blade. The top plate may be operated by an arm 61 which is actuated by the engagement therewith of an eccentric slot formed within a collar 65 which has a portion 67 projecting beyond the end of the handle for manipulation.
