Abstract

561,913. Safety razors. HEIDE, H. C. (Gillette Safety Razor Co.). Nov. 4, 1942, No. 15569. [Class 30] A safety razor comprises a blade 'magazine and a feeder, which on its first movement displaces the blade, cutting edge leading, into shaving position and on its next movement ejects the blade. The holder 16 with its projecting guard member 17 is mounted on a stem 12 for vertical movement, without rotation, when depressed against the action of a spring 14 secured within the handle 10, so as to enable the magazine to be inserted endwise, clear of the fingers 22. These fingers engage end notches in the top blade to feed it onto shaving position, and then engage the back of the blade'to eject it. The fingers 22 form part of a frame 20, 21 provided with guides 24 so as to slide upon a flange 11 on the handle, the rearward movement of the frame being effected by a hand lever 25 against the action of a spring. The magazine is described in Specification 561,912.
