Abstract

263,402. Croy, O. R. June 15, 1926. Alloys.-An aluminium solder is made by adding aluminium in the form of pieces, grains, or powder to a molten mixture of tin and zinc, preferably in the presence of carbon and salammoniac. 0.1-5 per cent of aluminium may be added to a molten mixture of 25-70 per cent of tin and 75-20 per cent of zinc; a particular example contains 26 per cent of tin, 70 per cent of zinc, and 4 per cent of aluminium.
