Abstract

An alloy or powder mixture to be melted so as to impregnate a compacted ferrous powder matrix comprises from 3 per cent to 5 per cent iron, up to 5 per cent manganese and if desired up to 5 per cent of nickel, chromium, silicon, phosphoros, titanium and the remainder copper.
