Abstract

A mixture of metal powders to be united into a dense coherent mass, (see Group XXII), comprises 90 per cent or more of aluminium; 3-5 per cent copper; 0.3-2 per cent magnesium; 0.3-1.5 per cent manganese, and, if desired, up to 0.8 per cent iron and 0.2-1.5 per cent silicon and up to 1 per cent chromium or 0.2-1.3 per cent nickel, cobalt or a mixture thereof may also be included.
