Induction pipes, fittings for. - A device situated between the vaporizer and the inlet passage for improving the mixing of the charge constituents and the atomizing of unvaporized fuel, consists of a member of metal or other substance having a straight-through unimpeded passage a, g around which are annular chamber or recesses c, f. Between the chambers is a partition b the bore d through which is slightly smaller than that of the inlet end a. The mixture, during its passage through the device, is in part whirled round the chambers c, f and an extreme state of turbulence is set up which facilitates mixing and atomizing.
