257,451. Goddard, J. W., and Clapp, C. H. Nov. 9, 1925. Planing.-Shavings &c. are removed from a thicknessing or other wood-planing machine by a conveyer 1 mounted in a removable frame 4. which is placed upon the lower table c of the machine. The conveyer is driven by a friction roller 8, which may be spring mounted, and is adjusted into driving contact with one of the feed rollers f by raising the table c. The conveyer roller 2 may be adjustable to tighten the belt and the roller 2<a> may be spring mounted. Ball bearings may be used.
