Abstract

115,220. Marsden, J. R. March 12, 1918 Block, rubber, and like apparatus.-In a machine for sand-papering or smoothing wood mouldings, tools 21 are pivoted, with provision for angular adjustment, to the lower ends of slides 15, which are adjustable vertically on a frame 10 secured to the table 5. The moulding 22 is fed under the tools by rollers 3, 6; the roller 3, which is fluted, together with the rollers 8, which support the moulding under the tools, are arranged in a slot in the table. Springs 23 hold the moulding up to the tool laterally. The first four tools are covered with sand-paper &c., and the last has a covering of leather &c. A. brush may be arranged to make contact with the moulding as it enters the machine.
