Bevelling; grooving. - A machine for bevelling and grooving welts for hoots and shoes, has a pair of feed-rollers F, G on shafts which are geared together and supported, the one in the fixed part A of the frame, and the other in a movable part B, hinged to the part A at C and drawn downwards by a spring against an adjustable stop I. The grooving-knife M is adjustable in a holder m on the upper part of the frame to vary the depth of the groove, and the bevelling-knife L is adjustable in a holder l on the lower part of the frame. The material W is fed through an open-sided guide J and is guided laterally by an adjustable flange 0 on the lower roller. In order to vary the distance between the groove and the edge of the material, the part B of the frame is made adjustable laterally by means of the screw N.
