Abstract

254,160. Stocker, E. Oct. 20, 1925. Operating doors and gates by springs.-The coiled spring F is secured at one end to a rotatable cap H and at its other end to a sleeve D of a plate E adjustably secured to a bracket K by a pin N engaging in one of a series of holes, the arm A attached to the cap D being connected by a link Z with a perforated bracket L on the door frame. Centre pins G, J project into the sleeve D, as shown. On opening the door the cap H turns and tensions the spring for the closing movement. The adjustable means provided by the perforated plate E and bracket L allow of the action of the springs being varied. Several arrangements are indicated for attaching the parts to the door and door frame.
