Abstract

249,002. Anderson, A. S. July 27, 1925. Controlling doors by springs; checks.-A fireproof sliding door is mounted on inclined rails 4 tending to close it and is controlled so as to be held in any position by a spring drum 9 and a cord wound thereon and attached to a bracket 6 on the door. The drum 9 may contain the controlling spring or may be connected by a pinion to a spring drum of smaller diameter. A pin 5 stops the drum in the open position. The drum and gearing are carried on a bracket &c. bolted to the inclined rail.
