Abstract

254,148. Ledbetter, N. A. Sept. 21, 1925. Pivoted-jaw wrenches. -A wrench of the kind comprising a pair of gripping elements, one on the end of a lever and the other pivoted thereto, consists of a lever 1 with flat portions 2, 4 and a gripping member 6 having a bifurcated end 5 pivoted to the lever by means of a bolt 9 engaging one of a series of holes 7 in the flat portion 4, the flat portion 9 and gripping member 6 having their edges 3, 8 provided with ratchet teeth directed in opposite directions. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 12486/99 and 23181/06.
